@vlad_0n
try using a 16 bit resolution. in game folder, find RATOF-Config.exe and select from there.
if it doesn't work, you can use wpcredit and wpcrset to change agp aperture size bypassing bios. but this will depend largely on the chipset you have.

I need information about your hardware configuration:

1. Click Start then Run or press Windows and R keys.
2. Type DXDIAG in the Run window and press Enter key.

System tab: processor model and the amount of RAM memory.
Display tab: name of the graphics controller and the driver date.
Audio tab: name of the audio controller and the driver date.

You must update the drivers of your ATI MOBILITY RADEON X3200 graphics controller.

Currently ATI does not provide any driver support for Mobility Radeon products.
All driver and technical support for Mobility Radeon products is provided by the original laptop manufacturer.
To download Windows Mobility Radeon drivers or driver updates for your laptop product, please visit your laptop manufacturer's website.

Otherwise, please use Mobility Modder from Driver Heaven and follow the instructions http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool/
With Mobility Modder tool, you can install the ATI reference drivers on your laptop computer. So you can update the display drivers using the official drivers provided by ATI.

Please update the drivers of your REALTEK HD audio controller:

1. Click http://support.focus-home.fr/Vista_Win7_R238.exe
2. Save Vista_Win7_R238.exe application file on the hard disk.
3. Once download done, run Vista_Win7_R238.exe and follow the instructions.

I did the update for the video adapter and now i have 256 MB, but the sound driver is for win vista and i have xp. Also i don't understand why sound would be an issue. Anyway i'm prepared to give up. Thanks anyway. Best of luck with your game.

Realtek drivers are located here:
http://www.realtek.com.tw/DOWNLOADS/dow ... Down=false

Dowload the ones for your system and install. You may have a missing or corrupted file. If the date you give on your system specs are for the drivers version, then these are really old as the latest version available from Realtek is December 09. Give that a try and see if it solves your issues.

The problem is that the Intel 945 graphics controller is not fully Microsoft DirectX 9 compatible.
The minimum required for A Twist of Fate is an Intel GMA 3000 graphics controller.

We can try to fix the problem by updating the display drivers:

WINDOWS XP
1. Click http://downloadmirror.intel.com/16835/a ... _14324.exe
2. Save winxp_14324.exe application file on the hard disk.
3. Once download done, run winxp_14324.exe and follow the instructions.

WINDOWS VISTA (32-bit)
1. Click http://downloadmirror.intel.com/16312/a ... a_1583.exe
2. Save winvista_1583.exe file on the hard disk.
3. Once download done, run winvista_1583.exe and follow the instructions.

The reference drivers that are provided by INTEL can be not compatible with your laptop computer.
To locate the latest compatible display drivers for your INTEL mobile graphics controller, please visit your laptop manufacturer's website.

Please download and run http://support.focus-home.fr/DXCapsViewer.exe
From DirectDraw Devices (left column), open the line with the name of your graphics controller (\\.\DISPLAY1).
Click Memory.
From the right window, I need the value at the lines Video (local) and Video (non-local).
